2011 Audi R4

Many believed Audi talk about the future of the mid-engined Cayman rival was pure fantasy, but then details on the range automobile of the future were published by Quattro Quarterly (a publication released by the Audi Club of America North) and one of the cars on this list is indeed long rumors of the R4. Set to be released in June 2011, the new R4 will have its own unique platform, and will probably appear in both coupe and roadster bodystyles.

Like the A8, the new feature will R4 aggressive, and will be able to accommodate two. Several options engine will be available as this is not an exclusive supercar as its biggest brother. Expect to see a wide range of model head with a high-output turbocharged development of over 300hp. Models based, in turn, will do so with a version of the 2.0L engine TFSI.

Like what makes indicates, the R4 will pick up a few style cues from the recent A1 Metroproject concept car, and share many similarities with the greatest R8. Although it lacks the familiar side-blades, the R4 still has a pair of gaping mouths placed at the front of the rear wheels. The frame will be constructed of steel, but engineers are targeting a final curb weight of about 1250 kg, while the mid-engine Boxster and Cayman seem the most obvious competitors Audi officials insist the new car is designed to compete with vehicles BMW’s M Division and AMG.
