2008 Maserati GranTurismo S Announce

As announced Maserati unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show a version of the sport GranTurismo. The new model, called GranTurismo S will be powered by a 4.7 litre V8 engine that delivers 440 hp. It also has a gearbox with electro-actuated speed MC-Shift Transaxle arranged in the layout typical of the high-performance sports cars.
A year after the inauguration of the GranTurismo, Maserati will return to the Geneva Motorshow with yet another world first, the S. GranTurismo The ultimate expression of sportsmanship coupe Trident moves focus on performance and driving pleasure.Two main innovations are at the heart of the new Maserati: 440 hp V8 engine of 4.7 and electro-actuated with gearbox fast MC-Shift Transaxle arranged in the layout typical of the high-performance cars Sport, which represents the DNA techniques of all Maserati.
The GranTurismo S makes use of the high-performance braking system developed in collaboration with Brembo and introduces for the first time in the automotive field on the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S. The system is equipped with front brake discs made with the technology double-cast - a double molding of iron and aluminium, combined with mono-block 6 aluminum piston brake calipers, ensuring optimal performance of braking.
Outside the Maserati GranTurismo S is characterized by a number of cosmetic changes that though discreet, are very effective and make the body appears sportier without abandoning the sleekness lines masterfully designed by Pininfarina.
The interior covered with Poltrona Frau leather and Alcantara reflects the mood of the Maserati sports GranTurismo S; the figure-hugging front and rear seats are distinguished by their dynamic new concept of horizontal piping on the seats and seatbacks.
