Korean automaker Hyundai will introduce new interface for its entertainment and information systems soon, which is developed in cooperation with Microsoft specialists. Especially for this purpose, Hyundai has established a new research center in Korea, called Automotive IT Innovation Centre (AIIC).

Main AIIC tasks are training and testing telecommunication technology, navigation, LBS, as well as the interface HMI - one of the earliest projects, where voice commands are trying to effectively merge with mobile media system.

New development must be initially submitted to the American model of Hyundai and Kia, and particular in Genesis Coupe, followed by technological innovations gradually appear in European and Asian lines. «Microsoft and Hyundai-Kia share common views on the role of information technology as a means of enrichment of knowledge, entertainment and communication in the car», - said Steve Balmer (Steve Ballmer), general director of Microsoft corporation.

Among other things, company plans to provide voice control, which will allow to connect players and telephones to stereo and manage them. Later, similar technology will be extended to the navigation system.
