Mitsubishi Galant

Mitsubishi company has provided an updated Galant recently, but sales of the model fell short of expectations and, to date, Normal plant, located in Illinois, where Galant models production started in 1994, builds fewer cars than its capacity allows.

Ecxept of Galant, Eclipse coupe and convertible and crossover Endeavor are produced in the U.S. as well, but production less than 100 000 units a year is a boundary mark, below which the plant ceases to be profitable.

In a recent interview with the Automotive News publication President of Japanese company Osamu Masuko said that the Mitsubishi Galant to complete production in the U.S. before the end of life of the current generation to focus on the production models for export, such as Lancer and Outlander.

Thus, Mitsubishi Galant ninth generation could «not live untill old age».
