On Wednesday the Porsche introduced updated versions of Cayman and Boxster. Outwardly, these cars are different from predecessors, only slightly modified head light lamps, large air intake in the front bumper, and LED daylight headlamps and new taillights. Mechanical part was changed more seriously: sporcars received new engines with direct injection, modernized suspension and robotized gearbox PDK.
Basic 2.7 L gasoline engine now replaced with 2.9 L engine. So now Boxster roadster has 255 hp, while the Cayman coupe - 265 horsepower. Power of upgraded 3.4 L V6 that installed on Boxster S and Cayman S, increased by 15 and 25 horsepower respectively - up to 310 hp and 320 hp.

New Cayman S with Launch Control PDK function, allowing the driver to get the car maximum momentum to disperse, and with the optional Sports Chrono package, accelerates up to a hundred kilometers per hour in 4.9 seconds. A previous version of this model accelerated to 100 in 6.1 seconds. Speeding up to “hundred” of the same machines, but with mechanical gearbox takes for 0.1 seconds slower.
